Sports Museum of America

I highly recommend to all sports fans who live or visit NYC to see the new Sports Museum of America located in lower Manhattan near Battery Park.  Even my old friend Roy who is completely disinterested in sports enjoyed it.  There are exhibits devoted to individual sports including baseball, the olympics, football, basketball, hockey, bowling, tennis, golf, and fishing.  There were entire rooms devoted to women in sports and pioneers such as Jackie Robinson.  There were plenty of interactive exhibits.  For example you can look at a controversial football play and make the call.  You can press a button and see a specific historic moment in sports.  There were plenty of artifacts such as uniforms, bats, balls, gloves, etc.  We spent 4 hours there.
