Bruce's Journal

Bruce Slutsky was born in New York City in 1949. For the last 19 years I have worked as a Science/Engineering Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. I have been married to Karen since 1983. We have a son Lee who is now 24 years old. I am very much interested in the popular music of the 1960s especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I am interested in rock and roll radio. Since the inception of the team in 1962 I have been a big fan of the New York Mets.

One Advantage of Working in Academia

Since we have Fridays off over the summer and the 4th of July is on a Friday they gave us today off. I get 20 vacation days, 3 personal days, the week of between Christmas and New Years, and 4 day weeks over the summer.
