Bob Dylan is Musicares Person of the Year

There are many sites on the internet that have discussed Bob's winning the Musicare's Person of the Year Award:

There is no need for me to repeat what was said in other sources.

I wish I would have been there to hear him make a 40 minute speech.  He didn't sing or play an instrument at this gala event that honored him.  Dylan making a speech?  He doesn't talk to his audience at his concerts.  He didn't even introduce his backup musicians when we saw him at the Beacon Theater last November.

I was pleased to hear that he thanked people that covered his songs and supported him during his long and legendary career.  I wish I could have heard the speech and the concert that honored him.
