Snow Day

It is very rare when my school closes for snow.  I was actually getting dressed when I received a phone call from the new alerting system saying that there were no classes and that administrative offices are closed.

Bruce, doesn't this take you back in time? Remember as a kid, wishing school would be closed so you could go out and play with friends?

Now as an adult with a son of your own, it seems everything has come full-circle.

Hopefully, you will enjoy this rare day off and maybe order up some Carnegie Deli while watching Turner Classic Movies?

Does our friend, Alan have the day off as well?

One final question, if I may? How many homes still have what is known as a job jar? You reach into it and you must perform the task written on the piece of paper. Do families still use this anymore?

I hope you have a great day whatever you decide. Chicago isn't expected to receive snow this writer will be leaving shortly to go to work.

Take care,

Dave in Chicago
