Dodgers 8 Mets 5

Oy Vey.  The Mets have now lost 8 out of their last 9 and have slipped to a .500 record at 47-47.  Starting pitcher Miguel Batista faltered and was pulled after 3 innings.  The Mets were down 6-2, but rallied to cut the lead to 6-5.  Manager Terry Collins apparently had no confidence in his bullpen as he brought in starting pitcher R.A. Dickey to pitch the 9th inning.  He gave up a two run home run to Juan Uribe to make the final score 8-5.  We received an Edgardo Alfonzo bobblehead doll.  I have several dolls at home that I should give away.
