Mets Beat Padres 9-8 in a Walk Off - Duda! Duda!

Things have not been going well for the Mets lately.  They just lost Jose Reyes and Daniel Murphy, two of their better hitters to injuries.  Thus, we went to Monday night’s against the San Diego Padres with very low expectations for the rest of the season.  The game started off well as Angel Pagan,  David Wright and Jason Bay homered to give the Mets a 4-1 lead.  But, the Met pitching faltered as the Padres took an 8-4 lead in the 8th inning.  However the Mets scored two runs in the bottom of the 8th to cut the lead to 8-6.  In the 9th the Padres brought in their closer Heath Bell whom the Mets traded to them a few seasons ago.  Small miracles do happen as a Met rally was capped off by a walk off single by Lucas Duda which drove in two runs giving the Amazins a 9-8 victory.  The Mets are back the .500 mark at 57-57.
