Yankees lost today 4-3

Yes Din, the family went to the first of two Yankee games today. We were sitting in the Upper Deck Section 33 in right field.  Although the Yankees took a 2- 0 lead with Mike Mussina pitching, the relief pitching couldn't hold the lead and the Bronx Bombers lost 4 -3.  The Yankees had the tieing run on third base with 2 outs in the 9th inning, but Derek Jeter flow out to Center Field to end the game.

Congrats on going to a Yankees game this year.  Thats one more than I have been to in about five years :).

A note on Derek Jeter.  He is the Yankees captain, and has helped win four world series rings but what has he done this year?  Has anyone noticed that he has left men on base at pivotal moments in the game such as the one you were at?  If it was A-Rod I am sure it would be on the backpage of the NY papers, the 6 o'clock news, and probably even the CBS evening news (lets face it, they are desperate for ratings).  Its not just that he doesn't come through but the way he doesn't.  Take for instance the game you and your family attended.  He tried to slug the ball instead of doing what he does best and pull it the other way for a single.  Thats not what he does and no one calls him out for that.
