It is a shame that David Wright's baseball career was cut short by spinal stenosis. 2014 was his last full season playing for the Mets when he was only 31 years old. Had he played a few more full seasons, he would likely be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is just a matter of time until his number 5 is retired and he enters the New York Mets Hall of Fame.
