Bruce Slutsky was born in New York City in 1949. I retired six years ago after working as a Science/Engineering Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark for 25 years. I was married to Karen until she passed away in February 2021. I have a son Lee who is now 35 years old. I am very much interested in the popular music of the 1960s, especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I am interested in rock and roll radio. I am an enthusiastic fan of the New York Mets.

Random Thoughts of the Day

Much has been written in the last few days about the streaming video Shadow Kingdom and the forthcoming Bootleg Series #16. I think many of my Dylan enthusiast friends are nitpicking his words, music, and actions to death.

We are now approaching the trading deadline in Major League Baseball. I just don't like reading articles that are strictly speculative. Most of the trades that writers and callers to sports talk radio dream up will never happen. I know the Mets are looking for a starting pitcher, but don't give up too much.
Are Americans really very interested in the British royal family? There are so many stories about them on network TV news. Very little is said about Prince Charles who is a direct heir to the throne.
I question the statistics that Blogger offers for Bruce's Journal that states that 75% of my hits are from Indonesia and France. There must be bots over there that hit my blog.
