Bruce Slutsky was born in New York City in 1949. For the last 20 years I have worked as a Science/Engineering Librarian at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. I have been married to Karen since 1983. We have a son Lee who is now 24 years old. I am very much interested in the popular music of the 1960s especially Bob Dylan and the Beatles. I am interested in rock and roll radio. Since the inception of the team in 1962 I have been a big fan of the New York Mets.
Believe it or not, I know the origin of this montage.
I found it many years ago when I was a student at Adelphi University. This would have been 1983 or '84. I was taking a radio course that was being taught by Pete Fornatale and, because Fornatale appears at the end, I brought it in to the class for him to hear. He listened to it with a weird smile the entire time, then owned up to it: It turns out that HE was the one who had put it together while he was a student at WFUV! That's why he was the only college radio DJ who appears in the montage.
