The weather forecast yesterday called for an all-day rain possibly heavy at times. I had tickets for the last home game of this disappointing season. At about 10:30 AM I received an email from the Mets stating that the ceremony for Howie Rose would be rescheduled for Opening Day Weekend in 2027, but the game would be played. Ticketholders would get a voucher for a game in April or May.
So, I attended not to go to the game and watch it on TV. There was misty rain for most of the game, but no rain delay. The crowd was sparse as many fans felt the same way as I did.
