Lee reminded me tonight that January 21 is the 69th birthday of Richie Havens. I vaguely remember that I first heard Richie on the radio back on WOR-FM in 1966 or so. My favorite CD of his is called Mixed Bag. Pete Fornatale current radio show on Saturdays on WFUV is called Mixed Bag. He did use that name for a show he did Sunday mornings on WNEW-FM back in the 1980s. Richie has covered many of Bob Dylan songs including Just Like a Woman which he played at the 30th Anniversary Concert on October 16, 1992.
