Another Spotlight on Harry Harrison

I just checked the archives of Bruce's journal and noted that I spotlighted Harry on March 27, 2009. I noted that I missed hearing Lee's birthday announced on his show each year. Last night I impulsively started a Harry Harrison Fan Page on Facebook. In less than one day, over 100 people have signed up. I have appointed the following poeple as co-administrators:

• Linda Cohen - Full Professor of Oldies Radio Listeners
• Mary Shaw - Full Professor of Oldies Radio Listeners

I certainly miss waking up to Harry every morning on WCBS-FM, but he reached the time in his life when he wanted to retire in March 2003. He came back to do a Saturday morning show on WCBS-FM from October 2004 until June 2005 when the station was hijacked. I don't want to talk about that again.

I am disappointed that Harry never came back for a guest appearance on WCBS-FM after the oldies or should I say classic hits returned in July 2007. I sincerely hope that Harry is enjoying his retirement.
