We were listening to Cousin Brucie during dinner and he played the Howdy Doody Theme. That sure brings back memories of the 1950s. I remember I used to fight with my sister, but when Howdy Doody came on we stopped fighting and watched the show. There were some unforgettable characters on the show:
- Buffalo Bob
- Clarabelle
- Mr. Bluster
- Dilly Dally
When I searched Youtube, I was pleasantly surprised to see there were a few full episodes. Perhaps the Paley Center has some shows in their archives. I really doubt if MeTV or Antenna TV will air the show.

Great childhood memories here, thank you! This also reminds me that back then the TV stations would close off for the night, and the commercial spots were fewer and shorter than those of today. Those were the days! :)
