Remembering August 8, 1974

Do you remember where you were 40 years ago today when Nixon announced his was resigning the presidency?  I was a chemist working at Rhodia in New Brunswick.  I was living in a temporary apartment at 9 Hartwell Street near the College Avenue of Rutgers.  The landlord was a real jerk who never left me alone.  Anyway about 3 weeks later I moved to the Colony House at 1050 George Street where I lived until the end of 1976.  I think everyone was relieved when Tricky Dick resigned.
