We saw Rock of Ages for our 27th Wedding Anniversary

October 16th is Karen and my 27th Wedding. Where did all these years go? Sometimes it seems like just yesterday that we walked down the aisle at the Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation in 1983. Other times it feels like has been eons. To celebrate we went with Lee to see Rock of Ages at the Brooks Atkinson Theater on Broadway. The show featured many hits of the 1980s. Since WCBS-FM returned in 2007 they have played successively more hits from that decade.

Most of the people in the audience were Thirtysomethings who grew up in the 1980s and thus were raised on artists like Phil Collins, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, and others. Although this is not my favorite music, I enjoyed the show.

After the show we went to Ellen’s Stardust Diner where we had a mini Meet and Greet of Oldies enthusiasts
