Heather Dalal - Facebook Friend of the Day

My colleague Heather has become my Facebook Friend of the Day for a very unique reason.  Regular readers of Bruce's Journal know that I always complain whenever there is a major mass transit delay.  Yesterday Heather actually spared me quite a bit of aggravation.  She usually works on the late shift on Tuesdays, but I offered do do her late night yesterday since I didn't work nights for a few weeks due to jury duty.  Yesterday there was a very bad train delay on New Jersey Transit which I missed since I was working at night and didn't have to report until 12 noon.  By the time I got to Penn Station in NYC yesterday, the problems were resolved.

Heather uses mass transit to commute from Rahway to Newark, but told me yesterday she will be driving to work because she has faced aggravation with train delays as well.  It seems that both the MTA in New York and New Jersey Transit in the Garden State have raised fares while the service has deteriorated.  This has driven people back to their cars.  You can't blame them.

Heather has joined a select group of Bruce's Facebook Friends of the Day.

Hi Bruce, I've been trying to get in touch with Heather for quite awhile now. I know she no longer works at the library (I just tried emailing her there) - if you get in touch with her, can you tell her Marci from Livejournal would love to touch base. (Marci_NY) on Livejournal. My email address is forarzn@aol.com. I did a search for Heather and your blog came up. Thanks so much and I'm sorry for intruding on your blog!!
