Father and Son Haircuts Today

Lee and I went to the barbershop together today since we both needed haircuts at the same time.  I should consider myself luck to have a full head of hair since there are too many folliclly challenged managers out there with personality problems.  From there we drove to Douglaston and walked around Little Neck Bay.  At home we watched the last half of the Met game as they beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7 –1.  Right now Lee is watching the Yankees as they trail the Red Sox 10-6.  Those Yankee/Red Sox games are usually very long.

I am listening to Saturday Night Oldies.  Mark Simone will do a tribute to the late Charles Nelson Reilly of Match Game fame.  Lee wants to hear that.  Later on Mark will interview Tony Dow who played Wally of Leave it to Beaver.

Yesterday was the 40th Anniversary of the release of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band.  Back in 1967 I had to scrape up my allowance money to buy albums at Alexander’s record department in Rego Park.  The CD version was released June 1, 1987.  Back then I worked at the New York Public Library at 5th Avenue and 42nd Street and was able to buy the CD at a music store at 5th Avenue and 36th Street.
